Riddle #2
“Be bloody,
bold, and resolute; laugh to scorn The power of man, for none of woman born
Shall harm Macbeth.” The second riddle is kind of straight up too. It’s talking
about how no one born of women will harm Macbeth, even though everyone is born from
a woman. In my picture I have a picture of pregnant women, with a line going
through it because no one born of women can harm Macbeth.
Riddle #1
“Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth!
beware Macduff; Beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me. Enough.” is not really
considered a riddle. I say this because there aren’t really any rhymes. This quote
in the story is also straight up with Macbeth, it’s basically telling him that
MacDuff is coming for him. From my very not detailed picture, you can see that
Macduff is holding a sword to Macbeth. Macbeth gets what he deserves because it
isn’t right that he is king.

Macbeth Act 2 - Live Tweeting!
https://twitter.com/LadyMacbethxox1
Lady Macbeth comes across as
someone to like to take charge of things. And by that I mean that in Act 2,
when Macbeth doesn’t do something right she goes and does it herself which I
like from her character. Because of the way Lady Macbeth is, this is why I chose
her to do my Twitter account on. Making a Twitter account for her, I wanted to
make her sassy because when I read lines from her character that is how I picture
her saying them. Making an account for her was also fun because like most
people that use Twitter to vent and get all their problems out, I made her
account seem like that also. For example, her complaining about her husband on
her account about how he can’t do anything right. It was also fun to tweet
things “in the moment” and by that I mean when things are happening in the
story, it seems has if her twitter is live and it’s actually happening. Doing
this project was quite enjoyable. It was interesting having to tweet from
someone else’s point of view. It was really easy to do too because I am a frequent
Twitter user. It was fun to tweet like someone else too because the way the
tweets were tweeted was nothing like I tweet, so it was fun to kind of play
someone else for a short time on a social network.

3) Pick one character from the first act and write a "Character Profile" of that character. Tell us what you know about them, what you think will be their role in the play, and what you think about them as a character. Do you like them? Identify with them? Do they teach us a anything?
In
the first Act of Macbeth we aren’t introduced to many characters. But one that
stood out to me was Macbeth himself. He stood out to me for many reasons. One of
being he is the main character. Macbeth comes off as someone who will believe
anything. I think this because of what the witches had told him, he believed
right away without having to even hear that much from them. From what I know of
Macbeth, he plays a huge role in the play. Matter a fact he is the main role,
along with his wife. Macbeth kind of comes off as into himself kind of guy
because when he’s told he will become King of Scotland he gets really into it
and asks them more about it. As a character, I also don’t like him that much
because he does seem like a jerk and will do anything that requires him
becoming better than anyone else. From experience of reading the book, I learn
that Macbeth teaches us to never trust anyone. Even if they are close to you
and if you consider them to be your best friend or something like that, that
you never know when someone might turn on you because Macbeth does something
like that later on in the book to someone he is considered to be very close
with. He also teaches us that people can be easily seduced by greed and selfishness.
But again, we learn that later on in the book.
2) With all this talk about Destiny, Fate and Influence, what role do you think the witches will have in this play? Are we all subject to our pre-determined destiny? Or can we influence our own future?
During the Act 1 of Macbeth,
it seems that there is a lot of talk about destiny, fate and influence. These
words outline the first act because of what the witches are talking about with
Macbeth and Banquo. They tell Macbeth about how he’ll be the King of Scotland but
to his friend, Banquo they come off as cold when they say to him “Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none”. When they say
that I think they’re trying to tell Banquo that Macbeth will be king and for
him, he will be nothing compared to him. The role the witches seem to already
be portraying is the people that are messing with nature. And by that I mean,
they telling Macbeth about his future when he should obviously wait to see what
happens with his own life. I personally do not think that we are all subjected to our pre-determined destiny. In fact I believe that we can all influence our
own future. For example, if you do something stupid that ruins the present day,
then it can have a huge impact on your future depending on what it is, of
course. That is just one example of someone influencing there future. We have
the power in our hands, if we want our futures to be bright, we can make that
happen and in Macbeth’s case he already saw his future so he obviously went the
road of making what he saw happen.
